# Network Requirements

> Required FQDNs, firewall rules, and DNS configuration needed to allow outbound access from the Sawmills Collector and agent to Sawmills cloud services.

## Network Requirements

To ensure proper functionality of the Sawmills agent, please configure your network to allow outbound access to the following Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs). This is essential for communication between the agent and our services.

## Required FQDNs

Make sure your network allows access to these domains:

* `api.sawmills.ai`
* `app.sawmills.ai`
* `controller.sawmills.ai`
* `metrics.sawmills.ai`
* `ingress.sawmills.ai`
* `controller.ue1.prod.plat.sm-svc.com`

## Network Configuration Tips

1. **Firewall Rules**: Update your firewall settings to permit outbound traffic to these domains over the required ports (typically HTTP/HTTPS on port 80/443).
2. **Proxy Servers**: If your network uses a proxy server, ensure these domains are added to the proxy allowlist.
3. **DNS Resolution**: Verify that these FQDNs resolve correctly from within your Kubernetes cluster.
