- S3 Tables Destination: Added S3 Tables destination support, allowing you to send logs to AWS S3 Tables in Iceberg format with Snowflake query integration
- Ownership Groups: Added Ownership Groups to define team-based telemetry ownership boundaries with per-group notification channels (Email, Slack, Webhook)
- Lookup Processor: Added the Lookup processor, which enriches logs by matching an attribute against a CSV file (from S3 or shared filesystem) and adding matching columns as new fields
- Drop Metric Datapoints Processor: Added the Drop Metric Datapoints processor to remove specific metric datapoints based on name patterns and label filters, helping reduce metric volume
- Aggregate Metric Labels Processor: Added the Label Aggregation processor to reduce metric cardinality by removing selected labels and combining values using aggregation functions
- Sawmills CLI: Added the
smCLI tool, installable via Homebrew, for working with Sawmills from the terminal - Sawmills MCP Server: Added a hosted MCP server so you can connect AI coding tools like Claude Code and OpenAI Codex to Sawmills
- Datadog Integration: Added the Datadog integration, which validates API and Application Key permissions and enables vendor usage references in the dashboard
- New Relic Integration: Added the New Relic integration, which validates User API Key permissions and enables vendor usage references in the dashboard
Improvements
- Analytics Dashboard: The dashboard now includes a Metrics view with time-series counts, volume, cardinality drivers, and data reduction percentages. When Datadog or New Relic integrations are configured, you also get vendor usage references showing where each metric is used in dashboards and alerts
- Enrichment Processor: The Lookup processor now supports S3 as a source for CSV enrichment files, in addition to shared filesystem paths
- Datadog Source: The Datadog source now accepts metrics payloads sent directly via the Datadog HTTP intake API — no Datadog Agent required
- Label Aggregation Processor: Expanded supported metric types by vendor, now generally available (no longer alpha)
- Splunk HEC Source: Added source type selection support for the Splunk HEC source
