Processor Management
Sawmills provides comprehensive processor management capabilities to help you efficiently organize, monitor, and maintain your processors.Overview
Processors are the core components that transform, filter, and route your telemetry data. The Processor Management interface allows you to:- View all processors across your organization
- Create, edit, and delete processors
- Turn on or off processors
- Monitor processor performance and health
Accessing Processor Management
- Navigate to the Processors section in the main menu
- Click on Processor Management to access the management dashboard
Processor Dashboard
The Processor Management dashboard provides:Processor List View
- Assigned Destination & Pipeline: Destination and pipelines using this processor
- Status: Current operational status (Active, Inactive)
- Name: Processor identifier and display name
- Action: The processor type (Filter, Aggregation, Mask, etc.)
- Filter: Filter rules for the processor
- Filterd Events: Number of events filtered by the processor
- Owner: Owner of the processor
- Last Updated: Timestamp of the most recent changes
Management Actions
- Edit: Modify processor configuration
- Duplicate: Create a copy of the processor
- Activity Log: View the activity log for the processor
- Delete: Remove the processor (with confirmation)
Best Practices
- Naming Convention: Use descriptive, consistent names
- Documentation: Document processor purpose and configuration
- Testing: Test processors in development before production
